Watching the FIFA World Cup has been such an eye-opening experience

Watching the FIFA World Cup has been such an eye-opening experience because it showed me how racism is still so prevalent in so many different countries and how no matter what we do will always be looked at like we're fucking animals. And you can be literally like a world-class soccer player and you can still get put in a choke hold and thrown on the ground and no one gives a fuck about you. And that's exactly how it feels. It feels like the only people who give a fuck about racism are the people being affected and that's the only voices being heard is when we're being affected. We're like, hey, they're treating us like shit and every now and then we get a sorry. And that's about as good as it gets, but it never gets better is how it feels. It never feels like it's getting better. And I'm like, is this my experience as a black woman? Is this it? Like always being looked down on, always being put on like a fucking box, the minute someone looks at you because they can't seem to think in different way. Can't seem to think for themselves. Like it just blows my mind and makes me so sad. Cuz I'm like, this is this is how the world is and the more indigenous you look or the more ethnic you look, the more you're hated. And that's it. And that's as simple as it is. And I will never be watching the work up again, girl. I'm cool on it.
