and I'm making garlic green beans is part of my meal prep this week so I'll show you exactly how I make them. First thing you want to do is cut the tops and bottoms off the green beans and then you want to cut them in about halves or thirds whatever you prefer. And you know I'm always finding the healthier version of things. A lot of people like to fry their green beans in oil and like I'm just not gonna do that. So we're making them in the air fryer. Before you do that you want to boil them for 90 seconds. So I've got a pot of boiling water going and I'm gonna throw these in. Now that we've drained them we're gonna add a little bit of oil and a little bit of salt and a little bit of garlic powder. Not too much because we're gonna add a lot of garlic after. I'm also gonna add a little bit of umami seasoning. And then just toss it up. I'm gonna pop these in the air fryer in batches. You don't want to overcrowd these because you want the skin to get brown. So mine looks like this. They're fresh out of the air fryer, nice and steamy. They should have some brown bits and the skin should be a little bit wrinkly, sort of like this. Here's a close-up. All right, we're almost done. So in a pan, I'm gonna put some oil down. I'm gonna toss a little bit of sesame oil in here as well. I went ahead and browned the garlic and I added a little bit of red pepper flakes to make it a little spicy. Then I'm gonna just toss the green beans in this mixture. They are all done and they are perfect. I'll toss them in the garlic I took a few liberties and I added red pepper flakes, umami seasoning, sesame oil, a dash of maple syrup for some sweetness. And it is amazing. Every piece is coated with a little bit of garlic, a little bit of red pepper flake. Mmm. Perfect.
