Did Ariana Grande make the wrong choice by not releasing this Zara Larsson song? Let's listen to her demo and discuss. This one's for you by David Guetta and Zara Larsson was the UEFA Euro 2016 official anthem. One of the songs of the summer in 2016 and despite the song not charting in the US at all, it was a smash hit throughout Europe. This along with songs like Lush Life, Never Forget You and Ain't my fault contributed to the Zara Larsson dominance of 2016. In 2017 a demo leaked of Ariana Grande singing the song and I'm gonna play it right now and discuss whether or not I think Ariana should have released this song with David Guetta. But before I do, this is a series I do, so make sure to follow me for more. It's full of winners, we're breaking new ground. If the plan originally was for Ariana to be on this track in 2016, I think it would have been way too off brand for her. Of course she sounds great on the demo and I love how she almost made it feel more emotional with her vocal delivery. But this was 2016 when she was starting the Dangerous Woman era. She was introducing a darker and more mature aesthetic and sound. And so this one's for you, probably would not have been good for that. This would have made sense for like 2014 Ariana, but not 2016 Ariana. 2016 Zara Larsson, however, this song made perfect sense for her and was exactly the vibe that she was going for with her artistry. Also it was for the European Football League, so it just made sense for it to feature a European artist like Zara Larsson. So I don't think Ariana made the wrong choice by not releasing the song, but let me know what you guys think in the comments.
