HOW DRYBAR SOLD FOR $255M! When we sold Drybar, we sold it for $255 million I did not take home and pocket $255 million. I wish I did. By the time we sold, we had so many partners and investors. Most of that money went to them. The stores were very expensive to build and we knew we needed to expand very quickly because we had a lot of copycats on our tail. If we were going to be the leader in the space, we had to move fast. which meant we needed to raise a lot of capital to do that. And that's the process of selling and that's also the process of growing. And you can decide if you want to grow slow or grow fast. And I've had friends and other founders who've done it both ways. And there's pros and cons to both.
