Not one to miss out on a bargain, I picked up a few new pairs of runners in the @New Balance sale. In order of appearance: - FreshFoam X More v6 - Reflection with Blue Oyster & Tangerine Heat - FreshFoam X More v6 - Salt Water with Afterglow & Grey Matter - SuperComp Trainer v3 - Pink Heat with Glint Blue The FreshFoam X is a max cushion daily trainer. 44mm heel / 40mm forefoot stack, 4mm drop, Fresh Foam X midsole throughout. Built for long easy runs where comfort takes priority (I’m doing a lot of that atm). I first tried these about a month ago and they’ve become a go-to for easy long run days. Plush and bouncy underfoot. The SC Trainer is more of a performance trainer with a PEBA-blend FuelCell midsole and forked carbon plate (aka Energy Arc). 40mm heel / 34mm forefoot stack, 6mm drop. Fast enough for moderate efforts, cushioned enough for longer work. I’ve had a previous colourway of these for a while and found them to be great for long moderate runs where I want a bit more response underfoot.
