things you should NOT pack for college pt.2 here's what not to bring to college. number one an ice machine. you do not need an ice machine. kind of like the Brita thing. if you have a dining hall, there's ice in the dining hall. an ice machine is a waste of space and money. you just simply don't need it. number two are bed risers. the beds in your dorm room are already really high. I had to jump on mine to get on it. you definitely don't need a bed riser or a bed skirt in that case. and I know a lot of people want to raise their bed high and then put a skirt. you don't need either of those because yeah, there's already a way to adjust the uni beds. so take that out of your Amazon cart. number three, an ottoman. this might be controversial. but an ottoman. I know everybody loves their ottoman. a lot of people use them as like a step stool or like a seat. but you don't need it. they don't hold that much stuff to begin with. and there's literally no need for it, especially if you have drawers and closet space. so instead I'd recommend you get one of those like big IKEA storage bins and put them under the bed. those cloth ones. that's going to be a lot more worth the money instead of an ottoman that you're going to step over. *4. vacuum. you do not need a vacuum, especially not a big ass vacuum. a lot of places have vacuums that you can rent out. and that's going to save you a lot more money and space. for the hell are you gonna put that big ass vacuum? if you're going to get a vacuum, get one of those little portable ones that you have to charge. just to get rid of maybe stuff on your bed or stuff on the floor like little stuff. but you definitely don't need one of those big ass vacuums. if you're going to get a vacuum, get one of those little portable ones that you have to charge. just to get rid of maybe stuff on your bed or stuff on the floor like little stuff. but you definitely don't need one of those big ass vacuums. 5. candles. and lastly, candles. you do not need candles. first of all, they're not even allowed in residence for most of the time. and if you sleep on it, the fire alarm's gonna go off. the fumes from the candles are really just gonna fuck you over. and then you're gonna have to pay a huge fine, which nobody wants to do. instead, you should just get like wallflowers. here's mine for example. it's from Bath & Body Works. you see this little thing here? that's where your scent goes. and I guarantee you that they're gonna have your scent in this kind of version. especially if you like candles for Bath & Body Works. so yeah, invest in a wallflower. here's mine for example. it's from Bath & Body Works. you see this little thing here? that's where your scent goes. and I guarantee you that they're gonna have your scent in this kind of version. especially if you like candles for Bath & Body Works. so yeah, invest in a wallflower.
