If a girl on Instagram is your roommate, you say no. Here's my roommate from hell storytime. Okay, so boom. I got my dorm assignment. I knew I was gonna have a roommate. I was like, bet, let me find one on Instagram. No, I was out to a black girl's group chat and that's where I met my roommate. I'm gonna call her Katie. Katie and I started DMing and she seemed really sweet. And then she asked me, hey, do you want to be roommates? And I was like, yeah, we seem compatible. Okay. So that was it. We're roommates. We were coordinating what to bring and everything seemed fine. I called her the night before and I was like, hey, how are you feeling? She was like, honestly, I'm kind of nervous to have a roommate, but I think it's gonna be fine. And I was like, me too, everything seems good. So, great, we get there, we're unpacking. And she seemed sweet, but right off the bat, there were a few red flags. Number one, it was clear to me that the family did not want her to have a roommate. And they wanted her to have a private room. Number two, they said they were happy I wasn't trans, because they didn't want to have a trans roommate. Weird thing they bring up on the first link, but okay. Whatever. She was really sweet. We went out the whole time. She was really reading about me saying I'm such a good roommate. Unfortunately, though, later that week, I got to say, so things started to take a turn. I don't want to tell her first, but I ended up telling her. And she was like, oh my god, I'm gonna support you XYZ. I actually moved residences for a bit. So I was going back and forth between the two. So I was never there. Keep that in mind. Mind you, the whole time I'm gone, I feel really bad. Because like, I know I'm leaving alone now. So I'm like, take all my snacks. And if you want your friends over to sleep in my bed, literally being overly nice to overcompensate for the fact that I'm not there. And I'm like, keep that in mind. Mind you, I'm fucked out of a fridge. I don't have a fridge anymore because we shared the fridge. And this girl took my food and put it on the dirty ass floor. My all on the chair, and everything else on the cake. Great, great. Great. The cherry on top of the cake. And then my dorm texted me and said, hey, we should talk. She was like, hey, your roommate moved out. I was like, oh, okay. So I talked to her. I came back to the dorm. She was like, yeah, honestly, I heard she moved out. She was like, oh, yeah, I already scheduled the meeting, but someone went over our heads and like made sure she had a private room. Interesting. Almost as if this was the whole fucking plan all along. And I was like, did she even give reasons why? She said, you were slamming doors in the middle of the night so she couldn't sleep. I was stressing her out. And I was like, okay, so you didn't tell me about any of the problems. My dorm actually felt really bad for me. But mind you, slamming doors and doing all this when I wasn't even there. I think I spent a total of like, maybe three nights in the building ever. So how the fuck am I coming in and slamming doors every day? It's like straight lies. But whatever, fine. You know, she think to do to somebody. We move on. Again, I talked to the girls on my floor and then they were like, yeah, she was moving out. She was like, oh, yeah, I'm just gonna give you guys a story time. Which fuck you. And then she called the Jakes on my birthday. So yeah, don't meet your roommate on Instagram. Anyways, it is what it is. Be careful out there. I tell stories all the time, so follow for more. And yeah, fingers crossed.
