DRAWING A WATER

Drawing a water splash starts with a simple ellipse below to create a wide cylinder as your guide. Now use that cylinder as your guide. Think of wobbly fingers of water stretching outward, then bending back, vary their length and direction. Add a few droplets breaking away from the. Then thicken parts of the outline and add small C shapes inside the droplets and the splash. For shading, put some curved hatch around the cylinder to reinforce the form. The ripples below are just concentric rings of alternating light and dark shapes.
