Can we predict Ariana Grande's next R.E.M. Beauty launch? I think Ariana Grande's R.E.M. Beauty has been leaving us clues about their next complexion launch. And I wanted to see if we could figure it out before they announce it. Perhaps a touch arrogant, but let's see where this goes. R.E.M. Beauty launched in November 2021. We're almost five years in. We have foundations, concealers, powder bronzers, powder blushes, cream blushes, eyeshadows, lip products. But somehow, still no setting powder. Now, maybe Ariana doesn't wanna make one. That's possible. But I wanted to approach this a different way. Instead of asking, when is the setting powder coming, I wanted to ask if R.E.M. Beauty made a setting powder tomorrow, what would it have to look like? Because complexion products aren't designed in isolation. Foundation, concealer, bronzer, and blush. They're all supposed to work together. So if I wanted to predict a future launch, I figured I needed to understand the products that already existed. And I thought that what I was looking for would maybe take like thirty minutes. Instead, I ended up looking at ingredient lists, comparing descriptions, and checking older trademark filings because every time I answered one question, yes, another one popped up. And you guys, I have a list of questions that I'm going to answer over the next several weeks. But I digress. The foundation is described as blurring, satin matte, skin with skin. The concealer builds on that with a lightweight, soft matte formula that's designed to blur and smooth the appearance of skin. Then the Hypernova launch is expanded with words like light as air, flexible powder, blurred soft focus. Now, those aren't the same exact words, but they all point to the same experience. Because this isn't just a marketing, this is a complexion philosophy. So I thought, perfect, I can start predicting a setting powder now. Then I flipped over one of the boxes, and another, and another. And then I thought, oh my god, Clay, you're not just investigating a setting powder anymore. I think Ariana Grande's R.E.M. has been leaving clues, but they're not the clues that I expected to find. And I think the next clue is hiding somewhere no one is really talking about. Follow for more, it's about to get fun.
