5 Songs we need to start playing more at weddings. And these are the best wedding songs, they're a different list entirely. And it's certainly not the worst or most overplayed wedding songs, and if you all like I could do a part two, I've got plenty of those. Speaking of which, if you have a wedding coming up, I'm begging you not to play We Are Family. No, these are just five songs that I don't hear at weddings enough, and I should, because they're great and it always gets the crowd going. Number one is Da Butt by E.U. Just this great jam. Number two is either Apache by Sugar Hill Gang or Jump On It by Sir Mix-A-Lot. One samples the other, but both bangers. We don't hear this song enough. Number three is a song that used to be popular, it's falling out of favor, it needs to come back, that is Shotgun by Jr. Walker & the All Stars. This next one, I might get some flack for, because again, I think people would say I hear this at every wedding, but I promise you I have not heard this one at a wedding in a while and it needs to come back, that's Locomotion by Little Eva, and specifically the Little Eva version, not the, not the updated one from the 80s. And finally, the song that just needs to be at every wedding, and it's not, and it's a crime, that's Strokin' by Clarence Carter.
