Have you ever heard of instant potato salad using instant mashed potatoes? Well, I saw this recipe and I knew immediately I had to try it. She uses Ida-Hoan potatoes, um, I think she uses like a butter and herb, but I'm using the ranch flavored ones because why not? Freewill. So all you need to do is she says add the instant mashed potatoes into a bowl. I'm only doing half the recipe. And don't listen to the back of the pack. She says you need to add about half, maybe a little more than half of what it says for two cups. You're gonna add about a cup and a quarter. And she also adds some relish, just a little bit. And then some pimentos. She actually adds those first before she adds the boiling water because it kind of makes it like it's cooked. I'm gonna go ahead and add those. Mix it up. You can't say it's not salad because jello is never been a salad, but we still call it jello salad. And honestly, it does look good, it smells good. But she says to chill it and then we can add the other stuff. Now that's kind of cool. Go ahead and add the mayo. She says I like miracle whip in my potato salad, but don't add too much. I also like mustard. Garlic. Pepper. Mix it up until it's all combined. Don't forget about some onion and boiled egg. It's looking like a potato salad to me. She likes to smooth it out so it's flat on top. Paprika for presentation. And then I'm gonna do a little parsley too. But y'all look at that. Looks like potato salad to me. Let me give it a try. Mmm.
