Did you know that if you're a teacher you can claim tax relief on these four things? I get paid a 36,000 pound salary but I'm on track to retire a millionaire because I got disgustingly financially educated. And now I'm helping you do the same. And believe it or not, the little things like this add up and still count. #1 - Professional and Union Memberships. No. Fees, subscriptions. If you pay to be a member of a professional body or union that's HMRC approved, you might be able to claim tax relief on the costs. So save this video, go check and come back to us. #2 - Work Clothes and upkeep. You. Uniform. If you have to wash or have bought specialist uniform for your school, for example, a PE kit or anything for a practical lesson, you can claim tax relief on it. You won't get the expenses paid back through your school though, you have to claim through HMRC and they'll change your tax code accordingly. #3 - Travel and mileage. And 3. Travel and mileage between workplaces. If you travel from one place to another during work, for example, meeting, training, school trips, you might be able to claim tax relief on that journey. Your normal commute does not count. If you want me to do a step-by-step breakdown on how you claim, comment 'educate' and click follow so you don't miss.
