Do I offer free estimates? I'll happily take a look at it. Why do you have to pick me up? You wouldn't expect me to spend money on the fuel and not charge for my time. That's what you're asking, is it? Can you do it cheaper? I sure can. You just tell me which part of the project you're okay breaking, falling apart in the near future, and then we'll start there. Can I just supply the materials and get a labor only price? That's about the same logic as driving your car to the gas station and asking for your fuel discount because you brought your car. No. I will tell all my friends about you... If you give me the best price. Well, it sounds like you have a very important reputation. And it would be really damaging if you referred the wrong person. That's why I'm gonna do it right so you're proud to share the work I do with everybody. You know. I don't make any decisions until I think about it. Did you think about it before you called contractors? Or was that an impulse decision?
