Save this for lifted glutes + lean legs ✨ I’ve been teaching Pilates for 20 years, and this is one of my favourite standing glute series when I want to really target the glutes without overloading the legs. 🤍 The resistance band adds load through the lifted leg, similar to what you’d feel on a Reformer or cable machine, while the glute on your standing leg works isometrically to stabilise the pelvis. That means both glutes are working at the same time, while your deep core helps keep everything balanced and controlled. ✨ Try this: ✨ Pulses x12 ✨ Isometric Holds x12 ✨ Knee Bends x12 ✨ Leg Extensions x12 🤍 Complete 4 rounds on each side I’m using a medium resistance band here, but you can also do the entire series with ankle weights or simply use your own body weight. If you’re just starting out, stand beside a wall, chair or railing so you have something to hold onto while you build your balance. As you get stronger, gradually work towards taking the hands away. Keep your weight grounded through the heel of the standing foot, maintain a soft bend through the knee and keep both hips squared towards the floor. Move slowly and think about initiating the movement from the glute rather than trying to lift the leg as high as possible. 🍑 ✨ Lifted glutes ✨ Lean legs ✨ Stronger deep core Save this for your next glute workout and follow for Pilates that actually works. 🤍 #Pilates #GluteWorkout #LiftedGlutes #LeanLegs #PilatesWorkout
