Save this for lifted, sculpted glutes ✨ I’ve taught thousands of clients over my 20 years of teaching Pilates, and this is still one of the glute series they request again and again. 🤍 The resistance band keeps tension through the working leg, while your standing glute has to work continuously to stabilise the pelvis. Your deep core stays connected throughout, so you’re building glute strength, balance and control at the same time. Try this: ✨ Straight Leg Lift x12 ✨ Leg Press x12 ✨ Pulses x12 ✨ Lateral Lift x12 🔥 Complete 3 rounds on each leg I’m using a medium resistance band with 1kg (2.2lb) ankle weights here. Both make it really easy to progressively overload the series as you get stronger. You can increase your reps, slow the tempo for more time under tension, move to a stronger band or gradually increase your ankle weights. Think: 🤎 Keep your weight grounded through the heel of the standing foot 🤎 Stack the standing knee over the ankle 🤎 Square both hips towards the front of the mat 🤎 Find a neutral pelvis and keep the ribs connected 🤎 Move slowly and initiate each repetition from the glute If you’re working up to the standing version: ✨ Start kneeling without any weights ✨ Progress to standing while holding onto a stable bar or support ✨ Introduce the foam roller as your balance improves ✨ Take the foam roller away when you’re ready for the full challenge Focus on control first, then gradually increase the resistance once you can keep the pelvis steady and maintain your alignment. ✨ ✨ Lifted glutes ✨ Lean legs ✨ Stronger deep core ✨ Better balance + posture Save this for your next glute workout and follow for Pilates that actually works. 🤍 #Pilates #GluteWorkout #LiftedGlutes #PilatesWorkout #BootyBand
