Save this for lifted glutes 🍑 After 20 years of teaching Pilates and training runway models, this is still one of my favourite standing glute sequences for building strength, balance and control while really keeping the focus on the glutes. 🤍 Your standing glute stays switched on throughout the entire series to stabilise the pelvis, while the moving leg works through each variation. The added hand weight also brings the upper body and deep core into the movement, making the whole exercise feel more connected. ✨ Leg Sweep x12 ✨ Knee Tuck x12 ✨ Arm Sweep x12 ✨ Knee Bend x12 🔥 Complete 4 rounds on each leg I’m using 1kg (2.2lb) ankle weights and a 1kg (2.2lb) hand weight here for an extra challenge, but both are completely optional. Start with body weight first and gradually introduce resistance as your strength, stability and control improve. To progress the sequence, add more reps or rounds, slow the tempo for extra time under tension, introduce small pulses or holds, or gradually increase the resistance. Keep a soft bend through the standing knee, hinge forward from the hips and stay grounded through the supporting foot. Keep the pelvis level, ribs connected and initiate each repetition from the glute. ✨ ✨ Lifted glutes ✨ Lean, toned legs ✨ Stronger deep core ✨ Better balance + stability Save this for your next glute workout and follow for Pilates that actually works. 🤍 #Pilates #GluteWorkout #LiftedGlutes #PilatesAtHome #PilatesWorkout
