Hook
If you take 24 hours off of your phone, completely off, put it aside, we say put it in a cookie jar. Here's what I forecast. When's the last time you were off your phone for 24 hours, by the way? Oh god. Oh god, okay. We're going to have to lead by example. So we're going to ask people, this is connecting, by the way, to my idea. If we we're going to have to lead by example. So here's what I suggest to the founders, to everyone. Choose a day, make it Saturday, make it Sunday, make it middle of the week, it's easier on the weekend. Make it the day that's true for you. And take your phone away for 24 hours and put it in a place that you genuinely are not going to touch it. Give it to a friend if you can't trust yourself. The first two hours, the amount of times your hand's going to go to your pocket, thinking your phone is there, will show you how addicted you are. Because it's an actual addiction. But then what you'll notice, especially if you scheduled it in advance, you plan the dinner with your friends, some activities that include going out to nature, little things. From my experience, when those 24 hours are over and you take back that phone, two things will happen. One, you're going to feel amazing at hour 22, 23, 24. Amazing. You're going to take out that phone and it's going to take you exactly 10 minutes to drop back down to the wrong frequency. That's one. Two, some of the best ideas you've had in some time are going to come to you, including who you should be surrounded with, what business, you should focus on what is your next move. For me, the best practice is that 24 hours once a week.
