The family of 21-year-old Zandile Salaphi is urgently appealing for public assistance to help locate their beloved daughter, sister, and Grade 12 learner. Zandile is a learner at Riverdene Secondary School in Newlands West, KwaZulu-Natal, and her sudden disappearance has left her family devastated and desperate for answers. According to her family, Zandile went out with a friend on Thursday, 24 September 2026. The following evening, her boyfriend contacted the family after he was unable to reach her. He visited her residence, where the landlord confirmed that she had last seen Zandile the previous day. Repeated attempts by her family to contact her went straight to voicemail, heightening their concern. On Saturday, 26 September 2026, Zandile answered a call from her aunt. During the conversation, she stated that she was out with friends and would return later that same day. She also undertook to contact her boyfriend to reassure him that she was safe. This brief communication offered a moment of hope, but it was short-lived. The situation took a more alarming turn on Sunday, 27 September 2026, when her boyfriend informed the family that the friend who had accompanied Zandile had returned alone. The friend confirmed that she had gone with Zandile to Point South Beach in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, but provided no further details about what happened afterwards or where Zandile may have gone. Zandile’s family is left with more questions than answers. A young woman on the verge of completing her Grade 12 year has vanished after what should have been an ordinary outing with a friend. Her loved ones describe her as a dedicated learner with plans for her future, and her unexplained absence has caused immense distress. Anyone who may have seen Zandile Salaphi, or who has any information regarding her whereabouts, is urgently requested to contact Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on 086 1234 333. Even the smallest detail could prove vital in helping bring her home safely. Please share this appeal widely. Help amplify the family’s call so that more eyes and ears across KwaZulu-Natal and beyond can assist in the search for Zandile. Every share increases the chance that someone who knows something will come forward. The family continues to hold onto hope that Zandile will be found unharmed and reunited with them soon. Your support in sharing this information can make a real difference. #JustAdvocacy #MissingPerson #ZandileSalaphi #NewlandsWest #KZN
