The body of budding Chatsworth soccer player Ethan Krishna, who went missing last Tuesday, was found dumped in bushes near the Bluff. His distraught family, who had been searching for him since Wednesday morning, received the heartbreaking news of his death shortly after holding a prayer for his safe return on Thursday night. Dawn Gounden, spokesperson for Krishna’s family and founder of Renegades Search and Rescue, shared that Ethan left home late on Tuesday afternoon to visit friends in his Croftdene community. The family never heard from him again. He last communicated with a friend around 1am on Wednesday morning. “He left his friend’s house in Croftdene late on Tuesday night. Nobody knows who he left with, but he was picked up by someone with a vehicle,” Gounden said. “His body was found in the bushes at the corner of Highbury and Nerissa Roads on Wednesday morning. It is suspected that his body was dumped at the spot between 1.30am and 4.30am.” When the family could not reach him, they initially believed his phone battery had simply died. By Thursday morning, with no word, they opened a missing persons report. Gounden assisted by circulating posters and following up on leads. Authorities later notified them of the discovery of an Indian male’s body in Bluff, a case handled by Brighton Beach police. The family identified Ethan on Thursday evening. He was wearing the same hoodie seen in the circulating missing persons photo. Ethan was a member of the Croftdene Crusaders Football Club and a devout Christian. He was deeply loved by family and friends, a fact reflected in the large turnout at his funeral on Saturday. The family has expressed trust and confidence in the Brighton Beach police and believes arrests will be made soon. They urge the community to refrain from speculating over unconfirmed information about his death. “They are traumatised by Krishna’s death and no family should go through such a traumatic experience,” Gounden said. This is a devastating loss for Chatsworth and the broader community. A young life full of promise on the soccer field has been cut short under tragic and suspicious circumstances. JustAdvocacy stands with Ethan’s family in calling for thorough investigation, accountability, and justice. We honour Ethan’s memory and support efforts to ensure no other family endures this pain. May his loved ones find strength and may the truth emerge swiftly. #JustAdvocacy #JusticeForEthanKrishna #Chatsworth #CroftdeneCrusaders #MissingPersons
