A young voice that brought laughter to many has been silenced in a brutal attack. In the early hours of Saturday morning, 20-year-old comedian and content creator Khadziyane Ndivhuwo, known as Skeem Mafenya, was killed in Malamulele B2 Extension, Limpopo. He was found inside a yard with multiple stab wounds to his upper body and declared dead at the scene. According to police, a community member heard a knock at the door around 3:35 am. Looking through a window, they saw a man bleeding profusely and immediately called for help. Officers were alerted to a person lying motionless in the yard. Emergency Medical Services were summoned, but Ndivhuwo could not be saved. The death of the young content creator has sent shockwaves through the community, where he was known for his comedy and online presence. A murder case has been opened, yet the motive remains unknown and no arrests have been made. Police have launched a manhunt for those responsible. Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba confirmed that officers are working to track down the killers. Limpopo provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Jan Petrus Scheepers strongly condemned the killing, stating: “We will mobilise all necessary resources to ensure that those responsible for this senseless killing are brought to justice. The murder of a young life with so much potential is deeply disturbing, and we will not rest until the perpetrators are behind bars.” At just 20 years old, Skeem Mafenya still had so much ahead of him. His content entertained and connected with people, and his life mattered. Another young South African has been taken by violence, and families and communities are once again left grieving and searching for answers.
