Our hearts break for a family in Reservoir Hills, Durban, after a six-year-old boy died following a fall from a third-storey flat on Siripat Road on Friday afternoon. At around 5:30pm, First Responder KZN received frantic calls from residents. Paramedics found the little boy with severe head and body injuries. He was placed on a ventilator and rushed to Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital, where doctors tried to save him, but he passed away during resuscitation. His distraught parents were at the scene. We do not yet know the full circumstances, and we will not speculate. What we do know is that a young life has been lost and a family is left shattered. At JustAdvocacy, we stand with this family. Our deepest condolences go to the boy’s parents and everyone affected by this tragedy. No child should die this way, and no parent should have to bury their little one. This is also a painful reminder of the importance of child safety in multi-storey buildings. Window restrictors, secure locks, and constant supervision can save lives. We urge every parent, caregiver, and landlord to take extra precautions. Rest in peace, little one. You were loved, and you will not be forgotten. We hold this family in our thoughts and prayers. #JustAdvocacy #ChildSafety #ReservoirHills #Durban #FamilySupport
