I had zero
ownership
of the problems
Somebody would hire me
in to do something
but at the
end of the day
it was up to them.
I didn't
own it
I was just helping them
Drove me nuts.
The other thing
that drives me
absolutely nuts
is the amount
of jargon
people use.
You're paid
to be the
smartest person
in the room and
the problem with that is
people really lean
into this.
I totally fell
victim to this.
I used
all sorts
of jargon
and when I
eventually jumped
into a startup
my co-founder
literally looked at me
of my first
email and said
"What are you
talking about?"
consulting was a awesome
opportunity for me
to dig deep
and have a ton of
different experiences
with different clients
with different problems.
Did consulting
drive me nuts?
Absolutely!
But if I'm
in my 20's
I couldn't think of
a better thing to go do.
