The most common problem I hear from my clients is that they have inherent competitive win rates. And this is a big problem because most deals are competitive for SAS companies because there's so many different companies and products out there and more being created every single year. So to make sure you're on the right track, I'm going to share how I use salesforce to make sure that my competitive win rates are as accurate as possible. Step one, create two fields that are required for every seller to fill out on an opportunity record. Competitorvaluating and competitor replacing. Being evaluated against the competitor and ripping and replacing a competitor R2 very different situations. And so you just want to make sure that you have your bases covered in terms of the data that you're collecting. Number two, make sure that those fields are required to fill out by a seller once the opportunity hits a specific stage. This makes sure that your competitive win rate only reflects qualified opportunities. Because we don't really care about our competitive win rate for those opportunities that weren't qualified to begin with. Pull that information into a sales force report and woe, you have an accurate competitive win rate.
