Do you want to know what the worst piece of creator advice constantly dished out on the internet is? Stick to a niche. Here's why that advice is flat out moronic. You'll pick a niche and you'll start making content on it. And it might even work. You'll gain some followers, make a little bit of money, and life will be good. But then a few years will pass and you'll change, like everyone inevitably does, and you'll have aged yourself out of a job that you created. You'll be stuck making old shit, old version of the same old shit that you don't really enjoy anymore. To an audience who barely has a clue who you are or what you're actually interested in. You will absolutely hate it. Niching down is not a personal brand. You're just a curator of information. There is no difference between you and every other person in your niche. It's just another guy or gal on the other side of the screen sharing the same information. But guess what happens when you start making content about all the things that make you, you? You become memorable. The breadth of your content, ironically, actually helps you build a deeper connection with your followers, because you just don't represent the things that they like, obscurity, relatability, your edge. Think about all the creators that you like the most. Usually, you found them because of one thing, but then you found out that they also do that weird hobby that you like doing in your spare time. They suddenly became your favorite. And every single time they share an interest, quirk, or passion that you relate to, your trust and depth with that person's content deepens. There are countless people on social media sharing personal development and business related content. My messaging is not unique, but to me, because you love tattoos, or maybe you also love triathlon, endurance sport, or maybe you're also obsessed with motorsport and you want to buy a Porsche GT3 RS one day. Or maybe it was a personal story I told that made you feel heard. And now everything else my content feels like it has actual depth behind it. All of those additional things that I've included in my content have given each of you a reason to trust me more than anyone else in my space, and that means you're building a personal brand. So if you really want to learn how to do this well and absolutely crush it in 2024, comment the word BUILD down below and I'll send you a link to sign up.
