If I'm selling to law firms, I don't want to do too much research. I don't want to look up every single law firm. I just want to look up something that's sort of relevant to what I'm selling. If a law firm had won a case recently, which often they'll announce on their site, I call Sarah and say, 'Hey Sarah, I just finished reading about the big Acme case you all won. Look, my name is Nick Cegelski and I know I'm calling you totally out of the blue. Do you mind if I take half a minute? I'll tell you why that case win prompted me to call you specifically and then you can tell me whether or not it's worth the chat.' So that's sort of how it would go from a cold call perspective for me.
