Sometimes it's EXPENSIVE being cheap. Welcome to 20 money lessons I learned in my 20s. Lesson number one. Four years ago in college, I was completely obsessed with saving money. I'd reuse dryer sheets and pretty much lived off of Costco hot dogs. I thought I was being smart by only eating the cheapest foods, but that's where I went wrong. I started getting hella weight and I was constantly sick. Nowadays, when it comes to things like my quality of life, I'm not afraid to pay a premium. But when it comes to going out or buying fancy clothes, that's where I cheap out on. You see, if there's one thing that I learned about money and life, you have to learn to pick your battles. Don't be cheap, be more intentional. Spend your money on what truly matters to you and cut costs mercilessly on everything that doesn't. Because being cheap in the wrong areas could be the most expensive and miserable mistakes that you'll ever make. This is lesson one of 20 money lessons I learned in my 20s. Follow for number two.
