I'm 24 years old with an almost perfect credit score, but I have over 11 credit cards. Here are my favorite cards and one that I'm super excited to apply for. Number one, the Bilt Mastercard. This card lets you earn points on your rent and soon mortgage, which is pretty much unheard of. No other card does this. And with this card, you can redeem it for cash back or if you want to, travel the world if you want to. And if that's not good enough, it has $0 annual fee. 3x points on dining, 2x points on travel, and 1x points on everything else. Number two, the Amex Platinum. This one is definitely not free, extra, but it's worth it if you know what you're doing. And it costs $900 a year. But with that, you get access to airport lounges with free food, free drinks, $200 airline fee credit, $200 Uber cash credit, $600 hotel credit, $240 digital entertainment credit, $300 Equinox credit, $155 Walmart plus credit, $209 Clear Plus credit, $100 Saks credit, $300 lululemon credit, and $400 Resy credit. That's all. You can also get anywhere between 60,000-100,000 membership rewards points as high as 175,000 membership rewards points after you spend $8,000 in purchases on your new card within the first 6 months of card membership. Welcome offers vary and you may not be eligible for an offer. Apply, and if approved. Welcome bonus points, as long as you spend a certain amount within a certain timeframe. Number three, the Chase Sapphire Preferred. This was my favorite card of all time because you access the Chase Travel Rewards Portal, which is how I was able to find flights to Taiwan, Thailand, Japan for literally pennies. It does cost $95 a year, but you also get 5x points on Chase Travel, 3x points on dining, and 1x points on everything else. They also have a pretty good sign up bonus anywhere between 60,000-100,000 points. It depends on what offer that you get. But the next card that I'm super excited to get is the Coinbase One Card. This is one of the first credit cards of its kind, and every single purchase, you get 4% back in Bitcoin. Which is pretty cool because to me, that basically means 4% off on everything. It can help me to invest into Bitcoin, which I've already been meaning to do. Credit cards are great if you know what you're doing and you don't abuse them. So all of these are optional. But again, if you're able to use them correctly and you know what you're doing, it'll open so many doors for you. Especially in travel. Just make sure that you pay in full and on time.
