1: Stop Trying to Beat the Market
I don't try to pick individual stocks (most of the time).
The majority of my money is in index funds that cover
the entire stock market.
So instead of putting all my money on Tesla, I'm in
1000's of companies
There are professionals that don't even beat the
market. Why bother?
2: Automate Investing
I invest the same amount consistently.
Example:
$500 every month
Whether market is up or down
Why this works:
Removes analysis paralysis
Builds the habit without relying on willpower
Time in the market > timing the market
No guessing. No "is this the right time?"
I win by being consistent.
My money is ALWAYS working for me
3: Use "Fun Money" for Individual
Stocks
I still invest in individual companies but only ~30% of
my portfolio and this was AFTER i hit 6 figs in index
funds
My actual setup:
~70% -> index funds/etfs (core)
~30% -> individual stocks (high risk/high reward)
Stocks I look for:
Companies that I can hold for 10-20+ years
Companies that can drop 30% and not freak out
Companies that I actually understand

4: Increase Income Aggressively
This is the most underrated part.
Your investment growth also depends on how much
you put in.
Example:
Investing $200/month vs $1,000/month = MASSIVE
difference over time (duh)
Focus on:
higher-paying skills
business opportunities
multiple income streams
More income = more invested = faster compounding
