If you're trying to get into sales but don't know where to start, listen to this. I've done solar, I've done life insurance, I've sold high ticket coaching and now I'm in tech. Here's how I rank the top five industries if you actually want to win in sales. Number five and the absolute worst is going to be solar sales. Listen, you see the people online, they make a lot of money in solar sales, you can do 60k a month door knocking, whatever else, but there's just no reason for it. I mean if you have a lot of grit and you can work hard and you don't mind constant rejection, then by all means give it a shot. Um but what differentiates people that are successful in solar versus the ones that aren't is the company they're at and the location. There's literally nothing you can do if you're at a bad company and solar companies go underwater literally every day. Number four would have to be life insurance. Um the commission checks hit hard, they really do and you can build up a lot of renewals that can pay you over time, but be prepared to work 12 hour days. You're logging on at 8:00 a.m. and you're not logging off till 9:00 p.m. and you got to work weekends as well. But if you're an absolute workhorse and you don't mind working 24/7, this could be for you. Number three is high ticket sales and this is the area that I actually spent most of my career in. Um this one's hit or miss. You know, you can make a lot of money and you can be really good, but deals fall through, clients fall off, you're selling to a million different, you know, customers and everything depends on the offer strength. Everything depends on how the owner of the offer is running their offer and how many eyes they have on them. The lead flow is inconsistent. You can make 15k one month and the next month you can make 4k. It's just just not consistent whatsoever, but it's nice. Number two would have to be software for non-tech industries, think CRM for dentists or payroll software for contractors. There's really, really big money in these industries, but that, you know, it's not as sexy as tech and you're usually working in person. And number one without a doubt would have to be tech sales. It's predictable income, most of the time it's remote and there is an actual career path. Literally every year you're usually set for a promotion, a promotion that is based upon your actual numbers and actual targets that have been hit. You also usually get equity in the company, you get full benefits, you have a salary and you also make commissions. Highest earning potential as well. If you're actually interested about getting into sales, I would recommend that you start somewhere where your future self won't have to pivot. Follow for more no fluff breakdowns like this.
