If you want instant charisma, there's one move that you can steal from actors and politicians. It's not some fake smile or some cheesy line. It's backed by actual psychology. Studies from Princeton show that we decide if we like somebody within one tenth of a second. This trick works because it's so... but here it is. Next time you meet somebody, don't just say hi, pause for half of a second, lock eyes and smile like you just met an old friend. Like this is somebody that you haven't seen for five years and you're really excited to see them again. It takes less than three seconds, but it makes people feel safe and seen. And as if you're like actually excited to see them. But that's just half the battle. Here's the part that most people screw up. You can't overdo it. Too long and it just seems a little bit creepy. Too quick and it seems a little bit fake. That half second pause, that's the sweet spot. It needs to actually be half a second. Just think about it for a second. Every magnetic person you know probably does it without even realizing it. Best part, you don't need to look a certain way, have money or even status. Literally just timing. Try it on the next person that you meet and let me know how it feels. I promise you their reaction is gonna be a little bit different than normal.
