How much I spend on a normal day in NYC. Subway: $2.90. Bagels: $0. They were actually mini bagels so they encouraged us to take two. I grabbed an everything with chive cream cheese and a plain with apple cinnamon cream cheese. I thought the plain bagel looked worse but the actual apple in the cream cheese was so good. And obviously I washed that down with my morning coffee, aka my favorite Diet Coke. For lunch I decided my body needed a salad and I decided to go in on an Uber Eats offer with a coworker. It was a buy one get one free create your own salad from Chopt. Unclear if you need to order the exact same salad but fortunately we like the same things so that's what we did. We each paid $10.52 but fortunately I had my Amex Gold Uber credit so I only paid 52 cents for my bowl. And of course I had to pair that with my second free Diet Coke of the day, one of the best parts of an office job. After that I continued some light snacking throughout the day and then wrapped up my work and headed off for a walk. I honestly think walking around New York City is one of the most underrated free activities you can do. And passing this McDonald's reminded me to play the Monopoly game before I spent another $2.90 to head back uptown to my apartment. Just today alone I won three bacon egg and cheese biscuits, three small fries, two sodas and a smoothie. You can save so much money playing this game for free. I really don't understand how McDonald's isn't losing a ton of money on this. It may come at the cost of your health though. So I only spent an amazing $6.32 today.
