here's exactly how to land a tech sales job with zero experience in five steps. This is what I did and I've got about eight to nine job offers through this method. So one, get the LinkedIn Premium free trial. So you can send more messages. Two, you're gonna use this message template and send it to as many account executives as you can, preferably you're gonna send it to account executives that are working at startups that are actively hiring. That could be better. But again, there's probably gonna be more competition that way. So four, get on calls, referrals. Once you start getting responses back, you're gonna get on that video call with them. You're gonna come across as friendly, competent, switched on. But don't use this as an interview. It is kind of a mini interview, but they don't know that. Don't start saying, oh, I have this transferable skill, XYZ. No, you're gonna use this to build this person, stroke their ego a little bit, ask them for sales advice, ask them how they got into this, how they're finding their experience at the company. Don't speak about the company specifically. You want to get to know this person to build a relationship with this person specifically. Don't be obvious and show them that you're only on this call with them so that they can get you a job. Eventually, you'll do enough of these calls and someone will say, my company is actually hiring a BDR, or my company is actually hiring a junior account executive. Let me see if I can refer you. And boom, your first interview might be lucky and it might be the first or second call that you have where they say, my company is actually hiring a junior account executive, let me refer you. Five, prep CV. Make sure your CV is ready because when they say, oh, I'm gonna refer you, you need to have your CV ready so you can get that interview. And you're more likely to get the job is through referral. Companies like hiring internally or at least through people that they know are good at the job. Planning a sales role is easier than many. Zero experience. I started with zero experience. I graduated from university, then I was working in the creative space, working with my mother for her company for a year. Then I landed my first SDR role. Then I landed an account executive role after six months. Then I was in a senior executive role six months after that. Now I'm in Dubai as a regional enterprise account executive, leading the African market. And again, I started with zero experience. You just have to be kind of smart about things, be methodical, be strategic. And yeah, work smart and not hard sometimes. You're for, otherwise you're gonna burn out.
