How I did this👇🏻 1 - I studied business I went to a public in-state university and studied business. I was able to avoid taking out loans so I graduated without student debt. 2 - I got a job in a high paying industry I work in the energy industry at a company well known for their compensation and lucrative benefits. 3 - I work to increase my income The key is to increase your compensation as quickly as possible. I worked hard for promotions and when they didn’t come, I switched companies. 4 - I track my spending I track every single dollar that comes in and goes out. I have a budget and stick to it. 5 - I save and invest automatically I establish and save towards short term savings goals. I max out my pre-tax investment accounts (401k and HSA). I invest more post-tax into ETFs. 6 - I did the math before buying a home I made sure it was a good financial decision to buy before I went looking to buy a home. Society will tell you the American dream is to own a home, but owning a home is expensive and you have to be ready for it. 7 - I experiment with entrepreneurship I tried renting my house out on Airbnb. I started my own cleaning business. I did high-ticket business coaching. Now I create content. I spend a lot of my free time seeing where I can increase my income outside of my corporate job. 8 - I don’t forget a great life is built outside the spreadsheet I make sure to spend time doing the things I love and and enjoy my life. I have a wonderful supportive and loving community of friends and family. And I value experiences > things. This is what matters the most. You got this 💚💚💚
