If you have access to Microsoft Copilot at work and you haven't updated this one simple setting, you're probably wasting your time. If you ever find that you're often repeating yourself every single conversation, there's a setting that can fix that and most people don't even know it exists. So the first thing that you're going to do is you're going to go into Microsoft Copilot, you're going to go to the top right hand corner and select settings. Once you're in settings, you're going to see some options on the left hand side. The one that we're going to be looking at today is personalization. Under personalization, you're going to find something called custom instructions. Custom instructions are super important because it's your way of giving Copilot knowledge about who you are, what your business is, what you're trying to accomplish and it will read these custom instructions every single time you have a chat. So update this with your business knowledge and you're never going to have to repeat yourself ever again. You can also access saved memories and you should update these saved memories every once in a while because it might remember things from you for months ago that aren't relevant anymore. So go into your saved memories, update them every once in a while, keep them fresh, change your custom instructions, spend the two minutes now to save you hours down the line.
