A lot of creators think that learning to edit better is the solution to higher engagement. When actually, the format you choose matters more than any transition or effect. Hi, I'm Ademide and this is the UGC playbook where I break down how to create UGC the brands actually pay for. There are three content formats that perform best online and most creators only use one of them. The first is B-roll with text. This is a 5 to 8 second video where the caption delivers the most value. It works because the viewer takes time to read the caption and so these repeated video replays signal to the algorithm that this content is worth pushing out further. The second is direct to camera. Just use speaking directly to the lens. Nothing builds trust faster with a viewer than seeing your face talking directly to the screen. The third is a carousel and is the most digestible form of content because it allows your audience to control the pace. It performs best when you lead with a text like "Money hacks I wish I knew at 21 and not 31." Sprinkle all three into your content and you will surely notice a difference.
