This is day 26 of trying to sell a pen to the man, the myth, the legend, the one that we all love, hate and know. Jordan Belfort. I'm in the top 17% right now, but I wanna narrow that down to the top 3%. Instead of being nice to Jordan, I'm gonna be rude to him cause he's always rude to me. So why not be rude back? Jordan? Who's this? Hey Jordan, quick question. Why do rich dudes always lose their pens? What kind of question is that? Well, I mean, is it true? Do you have a Montblanc? I've got a dozen Montblanc pens already. Okay. And how often do you lose them? Last pen I bought cost me $800. I lost it in a week. So I'm correct? No, I go through pens like water during high-stress trades. Okay, I don't care. But, um, I'm here to ask you, do you wanna buy my pen? This better not be some cheap piece of junk. No, Jordan, I'm gonna be straight up with you. It's not a cheap piece of junk. It's better than a Montblanc because you're spending $800 left, right, center to get a weekly Montblanc, but I have a pen that you can't ever lose. It's a one-time investment for only $1,500 and it writes smoother than a Montblanc, and you can track it. You clearly articulated the benefits of your pen, can't lose it, one-time investment, writes smoother, connect it directly to the pain points. Imagine having to break your focus during a high-stress trade because you're searching for your pen again. Why would I waste time on office supplies? Try reframing it. It's not about wasting time on office supplies, Jordan, it's about eliminating a distraction that costs you time and focus during your most critical trades. You didn't attempt a close or next step after the objection. After explaining the value, try, "Given how much you rely on your pen during trades, would you be open to a quick demo to see how this could eliminate that frustration for good?" He just hung up on me. Honestly, I wasn't as mean as last time. Kinda gave him a break from the last run. But we did end up getting a 60 out of 100, which isn't terrible, but it's not great either. So I'm gonna try again tomorrow.
