If you haven’t used your ripe bananas to make these yet, you’re totally missing out on these banana churro bites. I made them once and my family requests them every week now. Let me show you how easy they are to make. All right, we're gonna start with two ripe bananas. I like using avocado oil to fry anything. Don't worry about it going to waste, you can filter it. I have a video on how to do it if you're interested. I posted it like last week, I think. Then you're gonna throw it on the stove to heat up while we make the batter. All right, you're gonna start with two ripe bananas and just smashing it up with my fork. Then you need one egg. A teaspoon of vanilla extract. About a teaspoon of baking powder. A tiny bit of salt. Mix this all really well before I add the flour. And these are relatively healthy, like a healthy-ish dessert because you don't put any sugar in the batter. All the sweetness comes from the banana besides coating it in the end. I'm gonna do half a cup of flour. And this is just all purpose. Mix that. This pretty much it for the batter. Now I'm gonna do the sugar coating. I'm gonna use a higher bowl that way I can shake it really well and get them coated good. For the amount we're doing, we're gonna do two teaspoons of cinnamon. And with the cinnamon, you can do two teaspoons of sugar. I like adding an extra teaspoon of sugar just because it makes it better. And again, there's no sugar in the whole recipe. All right, so. I'm gonna go fry them. Okay, this is what you want to do is take a dollop. Just like that and push it right into the oil. You can see they start floating once they float, that's how you know they're like cooking up and not sticking. I just wait for them to become golden brown and then I will throw them in the cinnamon sugar. I don't let the oil drain because then there's no oil on them for the sugar to stick to them. You want them to still be kind of like hot and a little oily. Okay. And then take them out. This beautiful golden brown donut holes. And then I'm gonna shake it up. This is what they look like. Delicious. All right, I just finished making them. It literally took 15 minutes. I suggested to my husband that he has his today with a little bit of vanilla ice cream. And he of course loved the idea. So. Let's layer it together. Put them on top. And then I'm gonna drizzle it for him with a little bit of caramel sauce. Who wouldn't love this?
