And this man stood on his head. Like he went insane for this game and gave Cape Verde their first World Cup point ever. So logically, the entire internet lost its mind. And my man went from 46,000 followers to now 12.2 million followers in less than 48 hours. The guy who most people had no idea who he was more than three days ago is now one of the most famous people of the World Cup and will never need to work again. And Jose Mar here was a journeyman throughout his entire career. He's 40 years old and his contracts aren't really publicly displayed, but a lot of people are estimating he's made maybe a million dollars in his career. But now one single sponsored post on his Instagram account is going to be worth, I'd imagine, 50,000 to 100,000 dollars at least. And if he were smart, the second the World Cup is over for Cape Verde, he should be putting together training programs, apparel deals, appearances, milk as much as he possibly can out of this.
