Barstool Sports just printed a billion dollars out of thin air, and I am being dead serious. And whether you love this guy or hate his guts, we gotta give credit where credits due. So yesterday, Barstool and Bob Does Sports just released the first episode of the Internet Invitational. It's a huge golf tournament like the Ryder Cup, with 48 different golf personalities competing for $1 million. And while the majority of people are just gonna see a YouTube series, I see a franchise that's going to print money for decades to come. Let's get one thing straight. This tournament was profitable before it even started. You don't just give away a million dollars unless your sponsorship deals from Dunkin, Draft Kings, and Bass Pro Shops are astronomical already. And the money they get from YouTube is just going to be an added bonus. But the real product here isn't this one tournament. It is the franchise of the Internet Invitational. It's an invaluable piece of intellectual property that is going to be highly coveted from any golf creator for the next however many years. And this first year of the series is basically a tryout to see who the hell wants to pick this up every single year. And these guys know damn well what they are doing and what they have on their hands. Because in just over 24 hours, this episode already almost has 2 million views. But this is a valuable lesson for any creator out there. Your IP is significantly more valuable than a series of videos or one single video that you can make.
