I opened a Greek Taverna on my balcony! I would also like to note that I served lots of mezze along side this, however, the video would have been about 15 minutes long! Let me know what I should do next Most of my recipes were from @chefmarinie book, eat like a Greek. I couldn’t recommend it more!! Hope you all thoroughly enjoyed! I started the day off by embracing my inner nonna and preparing my chicken year-old. I marinated these for two days. Next up was my kefi, which I crusted in Saganki. Translation: pan-fried in egg, then finished with honey. I tell you what, the Greeks know what they're doing when it comes to cheese. This was so crispy, but so gooey as well. 10 out of 10. This next one was a monster. It was a 7-hour slow-cooked lamb, which I then brushed with honey and lemon to build up that nice crust. I'm sorry, can we just take a second to appreciate how that just fell apart? I served this with homemade flatbreads and some salsa verde, because I like it a little bit punchy on the side. This one went down a treat, 10 out of 10. Numero tres is what I'm calling super spanakopita, because I took a spanakopita and then swirled it into a ball. It was very, very tasty. I'm going to say I think it was better than a normal spanakopita. Don't come at me. Did souvlaki? Well, I did these pork souvlaki which I brushed immensely of not, I could not fault it. Next up was a little treat for the chef. It was fried courgette with salt and lemon. Truly one of life's great pleasures in my opinion. Okay, all the one you've all been waiting for. Some food porn because it was fucking insane. I cooked this in the oven for around 40 minutes before moving to the pizza oven to get a nice char on it and then brushed it with its own juices for like 15 minutes. Oh my god. I'm giving this a 1 million out of 10. You might think, well, you can't do that. 10 out of 10 rules. I make the rules. Off portokalopita, which I then served whipped cream. It was very, very yummy. My camera died, but I'll enjoy. And I'll see you for the next one. Bye.
