everything I've learnt CV length your CV doesn't have to be just one page, it can be longer and, a couple years in your career, it should be longer. You can't dress however you want when it comes to going to the office and interviews, you need to figure out how to be professional, especially if you're Gen Z, no office siren. LinkedIn is still a great tool to get a job in 2026, you just have to accept that it's going to be high volume. You could tick every box in an interview, they might just not like you and reject you anyway. It sucks, accept it, move on. Interviews are a performance. Get with the program. Job titles don't matter. Salary, think about the career progression, think about the work you're actually going to be doing. Those are the three things that actually matter when it comes to building a career. If you're early in your career, you don't want to do what you want to do, you want to make money. Go into a sales job. One of the best ways to build up a ton of skills and be able to move into something else after a year or two. You might not have a bad skill set, you might have a bad manager, a bad company. Go somewhere else where you thrive. I'm thriving right now. Work smarter, not harder. The hardest work I've ever done gets rewarded properly. Corporate life is all about packaging. Your CV, job applications, promotions, it's all about packaging. Learn how to package and reap the rewards.
