UK employees have a "everyone is broke" mindset

reality check, and the wrong way. reality check and don't take this the wrong way. I promise you, but too many people in the UK have like a broke, everyone is broke, struggling mindset. I feel like any time I have a video that does reasonably well about career advice, interview advice, there's someone in the comments saying, "Oh my god, all this effort for minimum wage." "I can't do all this for minimum wage." "You guys are putting in so much effort for minimum wage." I hire for higher paying industries. My current experience has been in legal and tech space. I've also had experience in like finance, consulting, other high paying industries. When there are grad jobs out there, 40, 50, 60k straight out of university, when you're 21, 22 years old, or when people are making six figures in their mid-twenties, do you think these people are going to have high expectations? I'm trying to show people what those companies are expecting from you, so you know how to step up to the plate and not waste that kind of opportunity. You know how to break into that industry, try to pivot, you know what to expect. A lot of people think that everything in like the UK is struggle, struggle, struggle. Yes, 100%. We get paid basically half of what they get paid in the US, especially like New York, San Fran, living, but at the same time, there's so much more out there outside of things like hospitality. And that's not hate to those people. Comment and DM me all the time that my advice has helped them, but it says "corporate babe" down here. Okay, those industries I mentioned earlier, like law, tech, finance, consulting, etc. That's where my advice is the most applicable. If it doesn't apply to you, that's okay. And I get people are frustrated, people are misdirecting their frustration, but anytime I literally just roll my eyes because I'm like, do you really think I'm talking about the interview process for one of my first jobs working at H&M? I'm talking about you're coming out of university, you're trying to like a six-figure quant job. I don't know, man. Maybe I'm taking this the wrong way. But anyways, I had to get that off my chest.
