A customer walked into my shop with this iPhone 15 Pro Max and immediately put $50 on the table. He told me if without replacing the screen, the $50 is yours. I looked at the phone and honestly started laughing. There were green, purple and white lines running down the display, plus a huge red line across the bottom. I told him there was basically no chance I was saving that screen, but he kept insisting that I at least try because apparently another repair shop had already told him the entire display needed to be replaced. So I accepted the challenge. I opened the phone and inspected every display connection, just in case something had simply come loose. Unfortunately, everything was connected perfectly. The OLED panel itself was damaged. And said, you can take your $50 back because I already lost. The only real solution was a new screen. I removed the damaged display, cleaned the frame completely, transferred the necessary components and installed a brand new panel before sealing everything. I powered it on. No green lines, no purple lines, no. Everything was working perfectly again. The customer looked at me, picked up the $50 and said, technically you didn't win the challenge.
