A customer came to me convinced his iPhone cameras were permanently damaged. He told me my photos don't look as sharp anymore, everything feels blurry, and I was already thinking about replacing the phone. I asked him one question: Have you ever checked the camera lens covers? And said I didn't even know they could be replaced. That's when I got to work. First, I carefully remove the old camera lens covers. They looked fine from a distance, but once I took them off, I immediately saw why his photos had gotten worse. Tiny scratches, dust trapped underneath, and years of dirt that a simple cloth could never reach. So before installing the new lens covers, I cleaned each camera carefully with a soft brush until every lens was spotless. Um, this is the part most people skip. They replace the glass, but never clean what's underneath. Then I installed a brand new set of lens covers. The moment we opened the camera app again, the difference was obvious. The image looked much cleaner, sharper, brighter. And the customer couldn't believe it was the same phone. He was already preparing to spend another $1,200 on a new device. Was much smaller than he thought. That's why I always tell people to inspect the simple things first. Sometimes improving your camera isn't about buying a new phone. It's about taking care of the one you already have.
