A customer came into my shop with a Samsung he had just bought for $300. He had found the deal of the year. The seller told him the phone was basically brand new. No repairs, no replace parts, nothing. There was only one problem. A few days after buying it, the phone started randomly shutting off. He contacted the seller but immediately got blocked. That's when he brought it to me. From the outside, the Samsung actually looked pretty normal. But once I opened it, I started noticing things that made me suspicious. So I told him I wanted to completely inspect the phone before he spent any more money on it. His $300 dollar bargain started looking a lot less impressive. The phone had clearly been worked on before. I kept checking the internal components and eventually realized that whoever sold this thing had apparently rebuilt it on the market. But the customer had already lost his money. So instead of giving up, he asked me to save it. I worked on the phone, replaced what needed replacing, and rebuilt everything carefully. Then came the moment that actually mattered. I powered it back on. Samsung logo. And the phone was working again. When I called the customer, I told him what I had found inside. He immediately asked me something I wasn't expecting. Can I sell it again without telling the next person? I told him absolutely not.
