5 weird things I do since dropping 40lbs for my wedding this year 1. I follow the same training split for months, and I do the exact same workouts for 6-8 weeks before changing them. I know it sounds boring but if you want to build muscle, you need to improve the stimulus over time. 2. I don’t do crazy cardio. I actually only do 1 specific cardio day a week (2 years ago I would’ve been doing 5-6 days of straight up cardio). I no longer have a desire, and I have seen how lifting weights has changed my physique. 3. I eat the same meals every week (occasionally do something new on the weekends). But I’ve found meals that I enjoy and that make me feel good without bloating. They are easy and delicious and I don’t get bored of them. 4. I walk a lot. 10-15 min walk breaks throughout the day whether it’s before work, on lunch break, during calls, after dinner. I aim for 10k steps a day at least. And yes, I work a desk job. 5. I focus on hitting my protein every single day. I don’t miss (not even on the weekends). Being consistent with my protein intake has actually made the biggest difference in my fitness journey. Helps with recovery, building muscle, and overall satiation.
