7 things I wish more women understood about working out at home with dumbbells 👇🏼 Because somewhere along the way, we were made to believe that working out at home was the “easier” option…or something you did until you could get back to a “real” gym. And after years of training, I can tell you that simply isn’t true. 1. You can build serious strength at home. Your muscles don’t know whether you’re standing in a gym or your living room. They respond to resistance, effort and progressively being challenged. 2. You don’t need endless equipment. A few pairs of dumbbells can take you VERY far. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, rows, presses, curls, carries, core work…the list goes on. (Bonus: if you have an adjustable bench since they’re so versatile👏🏼) 3. Your dumbbells shouldn’t stay the same forever. If you’ve been using the same 10s for every exercise for the last year and everything feels comfortable, it might be time to challenge yourself. Progressive overload can mean more weight, more reps, better control, increased range of motion or more challenging variations. 4. A 30-minute workout absolutely counts. You don’t need 60–90 minutes to have an effective workout. Give me 30 focused minutes with a solid plan over an hour of wandering around wondering what exercise to do next. 5. You do NOT have to destroy yourself for a workout to “work.” Being drenched in sweat, incredibly sore or barely able to walk the next day isn’t the measure of a successful strength workout. Consistently challenging your muscles is. 6. Following a plan matters more than having a huge exercise library. This is a BIG one. You don’t need to find a brand-new workout on social media every day. You need intentional programming that trains your entire body week after week and gives you opportunities to actually progress. 7. Home workouts can be the thing you actually stick with. No commute. No waiting for equipment. No worrying about what anyone else is doing. You grab your dumbbells, find a little space and GO. And THAT is probably my favorite part. I don’t train at home because I’m trying to find an easier way to work out. I train at home because it works for my life, and I’ve learned just how strong you can become with dumbbells and a PLAN. That’s exactly why I created my dumbbell-only weekly workouts. Every week you get brand-new workouts with both 30 and 60-minute options, so you can choose what fits your life that day. You don’t need a gym. You don’t need hours. You don’t need to piece together random workouts every week. You need dumbbells, a little space, and a plan you can consistently come back to. 💪🏼 #homeworkout #athomeworkout #workoutathome #dumbbellworkout
