The 5th circuit of appeals (the court just below the US Supreme Court) said in April that Texas’s Ten Commandments Law can stand in a 9-7 decision. I don’t know how any judge, let alone 9 of them, can believe this law is not a blatant violation of our First Amendment. Luckily, several Texas families are now bringing the case to the US Supreme Court, and it will be an incredibly consequential decision in terms of the religious freedom in this country. This is clearly not an anti-Christian or Anti-Jewish issue, since most of the families suing are either Christian or Jewish (and one father is even a Baptist pastor).
