Selling is the highest paid skill a man can learn. And nobody in this city can tell me otherwise. A doctor can only see so many patients. A lawyer only got so many hours. Both cap by the clock. The man who sells is capped by nothing but his own nerves. So you might ask why are most salesmen broke? Three habits of. And not one of them has anything to do with talent. First, six calls in a morning instead of 20. 14 conversations that never happen all year. Second, you drop the price before anybody's asked you to. Not because the man pushed, but the silence got uncomfortable. He filled it with his own money. And third, you talk too much. You've got the man to yes in his own head, and then you talk him right back out of it. Nobody in business, not once ever, say you have to say the words out loud. And most people in this trade, they don't say them. They trade them. Paid. Highest paid skill is is there. Doesn't pay a penny to the man who won't three.
