If you send this tiktok to the Mio app and it'll pin the goat onto your map automatically 🐐🔥 📍 Gävlebocken, Rådhusesplanaden, Gävle, Sweden Since 1966 the town of Gävle has built a giant straw Yule goat on the first Sunday of Advent, and since 1966 people have tried to burn it down. 43 of 60 goats have been destroyed or damaged. Burned, hit by a car, shot with a flaming arrow by a Santa and a gingerbread man, nearly stolen by helicopter after someone offered a guard 50,000 kronor to walk away. How to do it: 1. Inauguration is Sunday November 29 2026 at 4pm, with a Christmas market in the centre the same day. Tens of thousands turn up, so arrive early. 2. It stands until after New Year, lit at night, with a live webcam if you want to check on it. 3. Train from Stockholm Central to Gävle is about 1h20, hourly. 4. The goat has its own account, @Gavlebocken, which posts whether it's still standing. Since 2022 it stands on Rådhusesplanaden, just north of the main square. 5. Please don't burn it. The town asks every year, and the last person who tried got six months. #Gävle #Gävlebocken #Sweden #ChristmasInEurope #christmasmarkets
